Since last year, TCAT is taking a new approach to how Taiwanese Canadians in Toronto can commemorate the 228 Event that took place in Taiwan 77 years ago. We want to take this opportunity to share with Torontonians the courageous stories of those who fought for human rights and democratic movements in Taiwan.
We want to share with Canadians that the democratic and human rights values which all Taiwanese people share, came with a great cost from their predecessors.
