228 Commemoration Exhibition and Service
Starting this year, TCAT is taking a new approach to how Taiwanese Canadians in Toronto can commemorate the 228 Event that took place in Taiwan 76 years ago. We want to take this opportunity to share with Torontonians the courageous stories of those who fought for human rights and democratic movements in Taiwan.
We want to share with Canadians that the democratic and human rights values which all Taiwanese people share, came with a great cost from their predecessors.
This is a one-week exhibition displayed at North York Civic Centre with an opening ceremony on Friday, February 24th at 1pm. We invite everyone to visit us and to help us share this meaningful commemoration event
